I have lived, and raised a family, in Bathurst for more than thirty years. The last thirteen of these have been in Peel, where my partner David and I have been fortunate enough to have custody of the old Peel church.
Currently a registered nurse in the aged care sector I have been a maker & creative talent since childhood. having explored many mediums over the years I seem to have settled with “found and unwanted objects” as the basis of my art. Anything from an old table leg or broken jewel to found bones and scrap metal. I see beauty in these things, with stories to be told in their amalgamation and transformation. Pieces are often functional and inspired by the objects used in their creation and many reveal their name or their story during their making. Others sit for months or even years waiting forthe right part to be found that brings it all together. All pieces are individual and original and made from broken or neglected things (much like us). That however is not how I see them, and it delights me to share my work with others who see it too.
