Stephanie Field was born in the County of Kent, England and came to Australia in 1973, settling in Perth, Western Australia where she raised a family of three. During this time she completed studies in ceramics and porcelain painting resulting in many awards.

In 1989 the family moved to the Blue Mountains and Stephanie completed a Drawing and Fine Arts course in Sydney whilst also studying “Greg Turner & Reg Campbell oil painting technique”.

Awards won for both painting and drawing have resulted in sales and commissions from both local and international clients. Stephanie moved to Bega in 1999, where she drew inspiration from this beautiful and varied area, specialising in tonal drawings with subjects that varied from old buildings,portraits, animals and wildlife to still life.

Stephanie has been an Exhibiting member of the Royal Arts Society of N.S.W, Victorian Art Society and the Australian Guild of Realist Artists. Her work is sought after throughout Australia and internationally and is available at selected galleries or via the Bathurst Arts Trail.

In 2021 Stephanie moved to Bathurst where she has set up new studio premises – her work may be viewed and purchased either by appointment or during the open studio weekends as per the Bathurst Arts Trail.
